The Breathing Room

In my work I see an increasing need for people to have space where they can process ‘stuck’ emotions safely without fear of judgement, without distractions or other things that trigger us to shut down emotionally. When we regularly give ourselves this space & time to feel any emotion that is present fully, we can start to access the deeper emotions locked within & allow those to pass through us and release. This is when health problems clear & lives start to really change – for the better!

Hence the birth of ‘The Breathing Room’!

We will commence Friday night sessions this Friday 19th February, when the space will be open to all from 5.30pm. It is a large shed set up for the purpose of emotional processing – we have a punching bag, baseball bat & other paraphernalia which can be used for allowing anger & rage to be expressed & released through the body in a safe space.

1/ Start with your breath! Deep rhythmical belly breaths will help you access your emotions at any time or at times when you feel blocked, stuck or shut down, numb or disconnected.

2/ The key is not to get stuck in any one emotion but to keep breathing through it & feeling it & expressing it fully to its end. If you do this you will drop into the underlying grief (often the ‘causal emotion’) & allow that to be felt fully & released. Once a causal emotion is felt fully & allowed to pass through & release it is gone for good!

3/ Let go of the mind & the temptation to analyse or judge, just feel what is there in each moment. The understanding & ‘truth’ often comes through naturally once the emotional ‘error’ has been released.
